Dedicating time for yourself with a yoga retreat is an act of self-love. It's an invitation to disconnect from the noise of the world and immerse yourself in a space of peace and tranquility, where you can reconnect with yourself and explore your deepest self.
In the daily stress of life, we inevitably distance ourselves from our deepest part, the one that has no doubts, no fear, that loves unconditionally, that smiles in the face of adversity, that trusts in life and its seemingly irrational rules.
In our daily lives, we are surrounded by distractions that lead us to fear and anger, making us feel separate and live feeling alone, sometimes insecure, surviving rather than truly living. We forget that life is meant to be lived, to be savored – observing the birds celebrating life, getting wet in the rain, feeling the waves of the sea caress our feet, sensing the breeze on our face and the rhythm of our beating heart.
If we feel that stress has taken control, a yoga retreat surrounded by nature is a wonderful gift you can give yourself.
Nature has an undeniable healing power. By surrounding ourselves with natural elements like trees, mountains, or the sea, our body and mind relax spontaneously. Science has shown that spending time in nature reduces levels of cortisol, the stress hormone, and increases the production of serotonin, the happiness hormone. When I feel low, disconnected from my true essence, and overwhelmed by worries, sadness, or anger, I go for a walk in the mountains or practice yoga outdoors... I come out feeling renewed.
In yoga retreats, I re-establish awareness of my breath, I slow down, I listen to myself and simply be, without haste, without rushing, without any goal.
Nature becomes the stage, embracing me in this space that I have chosen for myself.
I see no better gift for oneself than to give oneself a space and time for oneself.
