Have you ever experienced the sensation of floating on your back?

Water has always been my sanctuary,

a realm of serenity where I can slow my pace,

tune into my inner self, and feel the rhythm of my heartbeat

and the cadence of my breath.

How many times have I dreamed of living under water

and being able to breathe freely in this liquid

that that evokes such profound memories of home!

We are, after all, composed 70% of water,

as is our entire planet.

We begin our existence cradled in the amniotic fluid of the womb,

yet upon our arrival into the world,

we tend to lose touch with our aquatic origins.

If only we could return to the water's embrace,

even for fleeting moments,

we would be reminded of our ancestral roots

and find solace, a sense of homecoming.

Immersed in water, our bodies shed their weight,

surrendering to the gentle sway of its currents.

In that state of tranquility,

if we allow ourselves to be carried along by the water's gentle caress,

we experience a maternal embrace that cradles and supports us.

Have you ever experienced the sensation of floating on your back,

suspended in the water's embrace?

Just imagine it – your body half-submerged, relaxed and surrendered,

gently moved by the water's currents,

caressed and lulled into a state of deep relaxation.

Your submerged ears allow you to perceive the rhythm of your breath.

What is the quality of that sound? Fast or slow?

The first few times you hear your own vital breath,

it can be startling,

but soon you recognize it as the sound of home,

a refuge, an oasis of tranquility.

And so, as you float, eyes closed,

focus on your breath,

relax your body, and silence your mind.

Linger there for a few minutes...

How do you feel? Who truly are you?
