One day I might look in the mirror and not like anything I'm wearing, and the next I might feel fantastic! What's happening to us? What fuels this inner flame that makes us feel comfortable and happy and shine outward? And what can I do in those moments when I don't feel this inner happiness and I don't see myself as beautiful or full of energy?
I want to refer to this condition by calling it inner flame, Sometimes it's thinner, sometimes it's thick and strong; it warms my heart and allows me to discern my true Self. At other times it covers me with a layer, in the shadows, and with difficulty, I recognize myself.
To nurture the flame of well-being, we must take steps toward what makes us feel good. It's like courting ourselves. What do we do when we're in love? Well, we take care of the other person, we think about them, we make sure they're okay and that what we do makes them happy, we buy them a little something… So what if we did the same for ourselves? What if, by doing so, we fell in love with ourselves?
Being well and feeling good is a sensation, And it is our inner flame that carries it. We must feed it, strengthen it so that each day we feel we are enjoying this life, making the most of it, improving ourselves, and doing something for others.
