Aware that both movement and silence are pillars of a healthy and balanced life, I believe that the older we get, the less we need to train explosive strength and the more we need an activating practice that allows us to feel fit and at peace with ourselves and those around us. The formula of mens sana in corpore sano It always works, and it's a state we should cultivate daily. A daily thirty-minute session creates a haven that prepares you for the day from every perspective: physical, mental, and emotional.
It is true that at the beginning a small effort is required, as I explain in my book My Daily Practices, It is driven primarily by willpower and the intention to live life to the fullest. This will be the first step and will allow you, after just a few sessions, to maintain the consistency necessary to quickly experience its benefits. I have noticed that consistency is the hardest thing for many people; they are easily distracted and struggle to keep up. Let motivation be stronger than distraction, let the will to be well and confidence in life be the driving force, the pillar from which to move and find a stable foundation that will then support us in difficult times.
It's good to start your morning practice from the beginning, when you're already in a state of peace, so you're prepared for the more difficult moments. This way, you'll have a foundation of practice to sustain you.
Therefore, begin a routine immediately, consisting of balancing energy with the Qi Gong, the flexibility of body and mind and the strengthening of your core with Yoga, and the exploration of inner calm with the Meditation. Thirty minutes a day, every morning, can change your perception of existence and allow you to live each moment fully.
