How fasting can lead us on a journey of health, awareness and mindfulness

I believe fasting is a powerful act of self-care. The first day of juice fasting can be mentally challenging. You might question your decision, feeling hungry and doubting your body's ability to endure. But if you trust the process, you can overcome these initial challenges and enter a different mindset on the second day. As mental resistance diminishes, feelings of peace and tranquility begin to emerge. The pleasure of slowing down, meditating, and reading inspiring books, combined with cleansing techniques to manage detox symptoms, can leave you feeling refreshed and pure.

Dreams become more vivid, and you experience heightened presence and awareness. Connections with yourself and the world around you deepen as the days pass.

On the third day, yI feel strong and peaceful. Slowing down has empowered me in ways I never imagined while fasting. I'm filled with gratitude for the Earth and its bounty. The juice from the fruits of the earth nourishes me, and I feel capable of continuing for another day. I move through the world with awareness, fully present in each moment. The idea of multitasking, like eating and reading at the same time, seems distant and impossible. I realize that this state of focused presence is how I should naturally exist. It's a way for my body and mind to harmonize.

On the fourth day, I feel strong and focused. My voice is calmer than usual, even when I sing. I have plenty of energy, although my blood pressure may still be slightly lower than normal. I'm not forcing myself to do anything my body isn't ready for. I'm deeply attuned to my needs and responding accordingly.

Do we always listen to our bodies so attentively? Often, caught up in life's demands and stresses, we neglect our needs, leading to frustration and pain.

I cherish this state of being and wish to maintain it as much as possible. I'll carry these newfound sensations and heightened awareness into my daily life.

On the fifth day, I break the fast with a crisp, delicious apple. I savor every bite, chewing slowly. I express gratitude to the apple, the Earth, the air, the sun, and the water. I feel nourished, both physically and spiritually. I can truly taste the apple's properties.

Fasting allows us to become more attuned to our bodies and to respond to hunger with truly nourishing foods. We eat not to fill a void or relieve stress, but to nourish ourselves.

A more sensitive body can discern what is beneficial and what is harmful. By introducing food slowly and mindfully, we can listen to our bodies and make informed choices. An incredible awareness takes place leading the path to health and peace.
